two thousand and three

my heart would agree

was a year i'll never forget

that i no longer regret

who i turned out to be

the life that i started to see

the decisions i made

the path that had been laid

a great distance i have travelled

fears slowly faded and unravelled

i am stronger than i thought

life lessons i have been taught

i've never felt more alive

years have passed, to be exact five
