it becomes clear

a life spent lying
inside slowly dying
constantly trying
to overcome fears
to dry the tears
unable to switch gears
blinded by hate
cursing fate
an internal debate
it is not a choice
searching for a voice
wanting to rejoice
as it becomes clear
more are willing to hear
and realize we are born queer
